Isabella fled Venezuela with her older brother, who was detained separately at the border. She was processed alone in San Diego and placed with a sponsor in Los Angeles. The sponsor's address was later found to be invalid. Isabella's parents, who fled to Colombia, have been searching for both their children since 2022.
